January/February 2016 Newsletter
Happy 2016 Everyone! We hope you are all staying healthy and enjoying the uncharacteristically mild winter!
We have some news to share with you this Jan/Feb month:
We bid farewell to Aaron Swanson, a beloved veteran DSPT therapist, as he makes his way down south to North Carolina. It is with a heavy heart, we wish him all the best.
Conversely, we are excited to announce the addition of TWO new physical therapists to Dynamic Sports Physical Therapy: Bridget Dungan and Alan Ng!
A few tips and links to kickstart your health and outlook for the new year:
- According to Julie Wiebe, "breathing well is a part of stabilizing well" in discussing how runners need a better strategy to create stability that is still responsive to the unique and dynamic demands of running.
- Acupuncture has been found to decrease neck pain and increase range of motion in a recent article by F. Gargano in the Journal of Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy.
- Interestingly, post-traumatic headaches following a concussion may also contribute to increased balance deficits.
