May 2014 Newsletter

Happy May Everybody! We have 4 things for you in this month's newsletter.

  1. Poor foot stability and over-pronation can cause many problems in the body. Especially for those that spend a lot of time walking or on their feet (New Yorkers). Performing this test and exercise may help you prevent injuries this summer when you spend more time in unsupportive footwear.

Try THIS Test: Find where your foot lies on the continuum.

If you tend to be more pronated or have difficulty supinating...

Try THIS exercise: Supinate/Raise Arches and lean forward without letting your heels come up. Try 2 sets of 10. If you have any pain, stop immediately and book an appointment.

  2. "Happiness is nothing more than good health and a bad memory." - Albert Schweitzer
  3. You might limit your child's development (in many ways) if you force them to specialize in sports too early. Encourage free-play, stop specialization.
  4. Click here to see the 6 reasons why EXERCISE is the secret fountain of youth.

Every Tuesday at 12:30pm Aaron will be performing FREE Functional Movement Screens. These screens help assess your asymmetries, movement patterns, and risk of injury. Call to schedule one today.
