November 2013 Newsletter

Hope you had a great October. We have 4 things for you in this month's newsletter.

  1. Exercise is the best medicine. Research shows exercise is as effective as pharmaceuticals. Plus, it burns more calories and avoids all those nasty side effects of drugs.
  2. Can't stop eating those Oreos? It's because they might be as addictive as cocaine...seriously. Here's an excerpt from the study, "We found that high-fat or high-sugar foods activated the brain to a greater extent than the cocaine or morphine."
  3. You can choose how you age. The optimistic proof: 73-year old woman sets record in powerlifting! Watch the inspiring video in the attached link.
  4. Have you had shoulder pain or want to avoid shoulder pain? Add this exercise as a dynamic warm up to strengthen your scapula stabilizers.
